Positive Behaviour Support

Understanding behaviour. Building better lives.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centred approach that focuses on understanding why behaviours occur and building skills that improve quality of life. Our qualified Behaviour Support Practitioners work collaboratively with participants, families, and support workers to develop practical, evidence-based strategies — never using restrictive practices unless absolutely necessary and always working toward reducing them.

What We Offer

Functional Behaviour Assessment

We assess the reasons behind behaviours of concern, looking at environmental, emotional, and communication factors to understand the full picture.

Behaviour Support Plans

We develop individualised, practical behaviour support plans that all support staff and family members can implement consistently.

Skill Building

We identify and teach alternative skills — communication, emotional regulation, coping strategies — that reduce the need for behaviours of concern.

Family & Carer Training

We coach and train families and support workers to implement strategies effectively and confidently in everyday environments.
